The Vision
San Francisco has one of the highest concentrations of curious, opinionated, articulate people on the planet. Founders, engineers, writers, and thinkers who want more than small talk. They just do not have anywhere to go.
You would change that. As the SF City Ambassador, you build the debate community from scratch — monthly events, a growing member base, local sponsors, and a club that people actually look forward to attending.
Why San Francisco
The tech community loves structured argument. The startup culture rewards clear thinking. And the city is starving for in-person intellectual community after years of remote work.
Trivia nights are fun but shallow. Lectures are passive. Debate is active, social, and addictive. Nobody is doing this at scale in SF. The gap is wide open.
What You Will Do
- ◆Host at least one live debate event per month
- ◆Recruit members through local outreach and word of mouth
- ◆Secure venues — free, sponsored, or partnered
- ◆Build sponsorship relationships with tech companies and local businesses
- ◆Connect with the startup and intellectual community
- ◆Share feedback and help shape the national playbook
The Deal
- ◆Revenue share on all events and memberships in your city
- ◆Monthly stipends once you hit activity milestones
- ◆Equity track for ambassadors who commit long-term (12+ months)
- ◆Founding ambassador status — permanent recognition
